Julia Penn is a recent graduate of the MA in Psychological Research program at Texas State University. Prior to Texas State, Julia graduated from Duke University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Her research interests are focused on the etiology, phenomenology, and treatment of borderline personality disorder. Julia most recently worked at the 3East DBT Continuum, a continuum of programs for young women with emerging borderline personality disorder and high-risk behaviors, at McLean Hospital.

Julia enjoys spending time with her family and Labrador retriever Henry. She also likes to exercise and be outdoors.

Julia also served as one of the PRISM Lab Managers from May 2025 - May 2026.
