Dr. Megan Rogers is a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at Texas State University. As a clinical psychologist with advanced training in quantitative methods, her research broadly aims to understand, improve the assessment of, and intervene upon processes that confer risk for suicidal ideation, intent, and behavior, with an emphasis on the nature and precipitating factors of acute suicidal crises.
Before coming to Texas State University, Dr. Rogers completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She received her PhD in Clinical Psychology in 2020 from Florida State University after completing a predoctoral internship at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She received her BA in Psychology from North Carolina State University, with minors in Cognitive Science, Health, and Spanish.
When not working on academic pursuits, Dr. Rogers can be found playing sports, playing video games, reading, spending time in nature, traveling, or spending time with family and friends.
Note: Dr. Rogers will be accepting 1-2 graduate students in the Masters in Psychological Research program at Texas State University for the upcoming cycle.
