Whitley is pursuing a master’s degree at Texas State University in the Psychological Research program (MAPR). Her specific research interests include the growing risk of suicidality in athletic populations and its impact on different minority groups.

After graduation, Whitley plans to get her PhD in Clinical Psychology to continue developing research in this realm.

Outside of school, Whitley enjoys an active lifestyle whether that’s running around Sewell park or playing pickle ball with her friends.
